The US Women's hockey team played Finland in the semi-final on Sunday night, or Monday morning in Pyeonchang. The game was never close. Team USA dominated from the opening faceoff to the final whistle.

Amerian forward Dani Cameranesi was the games first star with 2 goals and an assist. The other American goals were scored by Jocelyne Lameroux, Gigi Marvin, and star forward Hilary Knight. Knight scored on the powerplay in the 2nd period. It was a beautiful backhand tip in front on a low wrist shot from the point.

Shots and scoring chances were heavily in favor of the U.S. They outshot the Fins 38-12.

Buffalo native and Buffalo Beauts' captain Emily Pfalzer failed to register a point, but was a +2 in 15:49 of ice time.

Canada plays the Olympic Athletes of Russia in the other semi-final, Monday morning at 7:10am ET. The Canadians are heavy favorites. The winner of that game will play the Americans on Wednesday at 11:10pm ET. You'll be able to listen to the broadcast on WGR!
