It appears as though Manny Machado's time with the Baltimore Orioles is coming to an end.

According to The Athletic, the Los Angeles Dodgers are on the verge of acquiring the All-Star shortstop for a package that will include outfield prospect Yusniel Diaz.

Machado, 26, has spent parts of the last seven seasons with the Orioles, batting a career .283 average with 162 home runs and four All-Star appearances. This season, Machado is batting .315 with 24 home runs and 64 runs-batted-in on an Orioles team that is 28-69 and in last place in the AL East.

As for Diaz, he is one of the Dodgers' top prospects, and is listed as the 84th best prospect in Major League Baseball. Diaz is currently playing for the Double-A, Tulsa Drillers in the Texas League, batting a .314 average with six home runs and 30 RBIs.

While there is no timeline for the trade to be finalized, it is expected to happen before the Orioles return to action on Friday against the Toronto Blue Jays.
