The Oakland Raiders and All-Pro pass rusher Khalil Mack continue to be at an impasse regarding Mack's current holdout. It's now being reported that Mack's holdout will continue into the regular season, according to Yahoo Sports' Charles Robinson.

Mack has been holding out in an attempt to acquire a new contract extension, as he is in the final season of his rookie deal, after the Raiders exercised the fifth year option in Mack's rookie contract.

Trade rumors have swirled around the Mack holdout as well, as it has been reported that the Bills were amongst several teams that have been linked to a potential trade for Mack. Gambling odds on where Mack will end up lists the Bills at plus-1000, the fifth most likely landing spot. The Packers were listed as the favorites, followed by the Raiders, Bears, Jets, and then the Bills.

Mack, 27, was drafted 5th overall out of the University at Buffalo by the Raiders in 2014. Mack has been to three straight Pro Bowls (2015-2017), been named to the All-Pro team twice (2015 & 2016), was the 2016 NFL Defensive Player of the Year, and has totaled 40.5 sacks, 9 forced fumbles and 1 interception in 64 NFL games.
