Cubs catcher Willson Contreras was very emotional after learning that he would start in his first ever All-Star game.

Contreras had left his family in Venezuela and arrived in the U.S. with no knowledge of English. During his eight seasons in the minors, Contreras learned English and developed into one of the best catchers in the game.
