Major League Baseball announced the rosters for the 2018 All-Star Game on Sunday, which is set to be played July 17 at Nationals Park in Washington D.C.

Houston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve was the leader in fan votes for the American League, while Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman was the leader for the National League.

Here’s how the starting lineups look like:

American League:

  • 1B: Jose Abreu - Chicago White Sox
  • 2B: Jose Altuve - Houston Astros
  • 3B: Jose Ramirez - Cleveland Indians
  • SS: Manny Machado - Baltimore Orioles
  • OF: Mookie Betts - Boston Red Sox
  • OF: Mike Trout - Los Angeles Angels
  • OF: Aaron Judge - New York Yankees
  • DH: J.D. Martinez - Boston Red Sox

National League:

  • C: Willson Contreras - Chicago Cubs

  • OF: Nick Markakis - Atlanta Braves
  • OF: Matt Kemp - Los Angeles Dodgers
  • OF: Bryce Harper - Washington Nationals

Cubs catcher Willson Contreras was very emotional after learning that he would start in his first ever All-Star game.

Contreras had left his family in Venezuela and arrived in the U.S. with no knowledge of English. During his eight seasons in the minors, Contreras learned English and developed into one of the best catchers in the game.
