August 28, 2018 - 11:46 am

For the third consecutive year, the Rochester Americans will play a preseason game at HarborCenter in Buffalo.

The Amerks announced on Tuesday that the team will host the Toronto Marlies on Thursday, September 27 at HarborCenter in the first of three preseason contests. Faceoff is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.

Toronto captured its first ever Calder Cup title this past season, beating the Texas Stars in seven games in the Calder Cup Final.

Last season, the Amerks hosted the Marlies in front of the fans in Buffalo and managed to come away with a 3-2 win. The first time the Amerks played at HarborCenter was back in October of 2016 when they hosted the Binghamton Senators.

Rochester will complete their home-and-home preseason series with the Marlies two days later when they travel to Toronto to play at Frank Doherty Arena at 4 p.m. The Amerks will conclude their preseason with a game against the Syracuse Crunch at the Gene Polisseni Center on the campus of the Rochester Institute of Technology. That puck drop is scheduled for 5:05 p.m.

Tickets for the game at HarborCenter are set to go on sale Wednesday, August 29 at 10 a.m. Tickets are available for $10 each for general admission seating with $5 tickets available for all Amerks and Buffalo Sabres season ticket holders. Ticket cans can be purchased at the KeyBank Center box office, or through
